Laurent Ferrier expands the Classic Moon collection with a new Dusk version, developed as part of the Série Atelier. The watch retains the design introduced two years ago—an annual calendar and moon phase display—but for the first time, it features a yellow gold Classic case. Only 20 pieces will be produced.
The Classic Moon was introduced to the Geneva-based manufacturer’s lineup in 2024. It was a significant premiere, as it marked the first time Laurent Ferrier had incorporated a moon phase complication into a watch. The model was combined with an annual calendar, all housed in the distinctive, rounded Classic case. Initial versions were offered in steel and rose gold, among other materials.
The Classic Moon Dusk, unveiled at Geneva Watch Days 2026, maintains this mechanical concept. The new features primarily encompass materials and colors—ranging from light taupe to chocolate brown to yellow gold.

Classic Moon in yellow gold for the first time
The case measures 40 mm in diameter and 12.9 mm thick. The Dusk version is crafted from 18-karat 2N yellow gold. This is the first time this material has been used in a Classic case. It retains its characteristic soft lines, gently curved lugs, and large, spherical crown. Water resistance is 30 meters.
The case design remains very traditional. There’s no sporty character here, nor any attempt to overcomplicate the design. The round bezel and smooth surfaces echo the style Laurent Ferrier has been developing since the manufacture’s inception.
The dial has a lot more going on. Its opaline surface transitions from a light taupe in the center to a deeper, chocolate hue at the edge. White Roman numerals and baton indexes sit against this backdrop, while a central yellow gold hand indicates the date. A date scale runs along the outer circumference of the dial, with the number 31 highlighted in ochre.
The effect is less contrasting than the steel Classic Moon Blue and noticeably warmer than previous versions of the model. The name Dusk refers to the colors that appear shortly after sunset.

The moon phases remain the main element of the dial
The most distinctive feature of the Classic Moon is the moon phase display located at six o’clock and combined with a small seconds dial.
The Dusk version features a moon phase dial crafted from obsidian with a golden sheen. It features two moon representations, one representing the northern and one representing the southern hemispheres. The design also features a translucent plique-à-jour enamel in a yellow hue, while the moon and star elements are detailed with Super-LumiNova.
This is an evolution of the concept used in the first Classic Moon. In the 2024 models, the dial of this complication is made of aventurine glass, and the engraved representations of the Moon and stars are filled with luminescent material.
Dusk, therefore, primarily changes the material palette. Instead of a cool, navy blue depiction of the night sky, browns, golds, and yellows appear.
How does the Laurent Ferrier annual calendar work?
Two small windows are located at the twelve o’clock position: the left one shows the day of the week, the right one the month. The date is read using a central hand.
The annual calendar is more advanced than a traditional date display, but structurally simpler than a perpetual calendar. The mechanism recognizes months with 30 and 31 days, so for most of the year, manual adjustments are not required. The user only needs to intervene at the beginning of March, as the mechanism doesn’t account for the variable length of February.
Additional functions are controlled by correctors located on the left side of the case. One is located at 10 o’clock, the other between 8 and 9 o’clock. Other settings are made using the distinctive spherical crown.

LF126.02 movement with 80-hour power reserve
Inside, the hand-wound LF126.02 caliber, familiar from other Classic Moon versions, operates. The movement consists of 266 parts, operates at a frequency of 3 Hz, or 21,600 vibrations per hour, and provides up to 80 hours of power reserve. The remaining power indicator is located on the movement side, allowing it to be viewed through the transparent caseback.
The LF126.02 utilizes a Swiss anchor escapement and a screw-set balance wheel. The bridges feature a Côtes de Genève decoration and a rhodium finish, while the plate is pearl-pearled. The bridge edges, internal angles, and screw heads are chamfered and polished by hand.
The watch is paired with a hand-stitched mocha nubuck strap lined with Alcantara. The buckle is also crafted from 18-karat yellow gold.
Laurent Ferrier Classic Moon Dusk: Price and Availability
The Classic Moon Dusk, designated LCF039.J2.BW1, will be limited to 20 units. Priced at 93,000 Swiss francs, excluding taxes, the model is being offered directly by Laurent Ferrier.
The introduction of the Dusk, therefore, does not represent a new design for the Classic Moon, but rather a further, very limited interpretation of an existing watch. The most significant changes concern the yellow gold, the gradient dial, and the unusual implementation of the moon phase display. Mechanically, it remains the same model that introduced Laurent Ferrier’s first lunar complication in 2024.
