Los Naranjos Golf Club is a typical Robert Trent Jones Sr. design, with wide fairways and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. The greens, featuring Penn A4 grass, are spacious and gently undulating. The tees are long and have four markers: red, yellow, white, and black. The course length starts at 5,131 meters and reaches 6,532 meters at its longest.
The daunting par-5 18th hole finishes American-style on a raised green protected from the water hazard ahead, while the impressive clubhouse behind it adds to the atmosphere, created by the spectators watching from the large terrace. Los Naranjos was voted Costa del Sol Course of the Year in 2005 and 2008.
