Four Seasons Yachts launches luxury yacht that redefines sea travel

March 21, 2026

On March 20, 2026, she will make history in maritime travel. The legendary Four Seasons Yachts brand has officially transferred its standard of hospitality from land to azure waters. The luxurious Four Seasons I is a residential yacht designed by Four Seasons to represent a new category of ultra-luxury maritime travel. This vessel's maiden voyage is not only the debut of a new product, but also an attempt to redefine an entire segment of maritime experiences.

What makes Four Seasons I offer more privacy than classic cruise liners?

What makes this project unique is, above all, the scale of its intimacy and space. Traditional luxury liners accommodate hundreds of passengers. Four Seasons I offers just 95 suites, each with an ocean view and private terrace. The staff-to-guest ratio is almost one to one. In practice, this translates to a service model more familiar from private residences than cruise ships.

Funnel Suite – one of the most unique suites at sea

The most spectacular element of the project remains the Funnel Suite – a suite integrated into the structure of the vessel's funnel. It spans four levels and offers approximately 930 square meters of space, making it one of the largest suites of its kind at sea. It also boasts one of the largest continuous glass areas in the industry, providing approximately 280-degree panoramic views of the horizon.

Culinary platform: from Mediterranean flavors to omakase experience

The dining experience onboard Four Seasons I is driven by diversity and craftsmanship, delivered across eleven distinct restaurants and lounges. The menu ranges from sophisticated seafood dishes to intimate omakase sessions, featuring seasonal and local produce. The centerpiece of the offering is the Sedna restaurant, which introduces the Chef-in-Residence series. Guests can sample signature menus prepared by renowned Michelin-starred Four Seasons chefs, such as Christian Le Squer in Paris and Luca Piscazzi in Athens.

Social spaces and the ritual of board meetings

The culinary concept extends beyond the restaurant, shaping the daily rhythm of life on board. The Horizon Bar, equipped with its own plunge pool, is an open space dedicated to daytime relaxation overlooking the open sea. For an evening alternative, Bar O is an intimate lounge with a modern design, specializing in rare spirits and signature cocktails. These meeting points allow for a seamless transition between the phases of the day, from informal meetings to an elegant end to the evening.

A transverse marina – how does it change the way you use your yacht?

One of the vessel's most distinctive features is the transverse marina, designed on an unprecedented scale. It spans the entire width of the vessel, opening to both sides and providing direct access to the water. This means water sports can be enjoyed directly from the deck. This feature, typical of private yachts, is rarely found in this class of vessel. In destinations like Saint-Tropez or the Montenegrin coast, the vessel ceases to be a means of transportation and becomes a private base of experiences.

Wellness based on the five elements and regeneration

The offerings are complemented by L'Oceana Spa, where a wellness program is based on the concept of the five elements of vitality. In addition to the classic hammam and sauna, guests can enjoy advanced technologies that support longevity, such as cryotherapy and infrared therapy beds. The holistic approach is also reflected in daily rituals – morning yoga on deck, breathing sessions, and a personalized wellness menu tailored to individual nutritional goals and regenerative needs.

Why is the ownership background important for the development of this project?

The project was made possible thanks to collaboration with the Italian shipyard Fincantieri, a leader in marine engineering. The project is backed by a stable investment base: a controlling stake in Four Seasons (71.25%) belongs to Cascade Investment, Bill Gates' private company, and a significant stake is held by Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal's Kingdom Holding Company. The vessel's debut in 2026, coinciding with the chain's 65th anniversary, confirms the brand's evolution toward creating complete luxury ecosystems, where the line between hotel and private vessel is blurred.
