Tour de Pologne Women 2026: triple victory for leader Lorena Wiebes
July 27, 2026
Lorena Wiebes (Team SD Worx-Protime) triumphantly finished the 4th Tour de Pologne Women, winning the finish on Krakowskie Przedmieście Street in Lublin. The Dutchwoman dominated the race, winning all three stages, as well as the ORLEN General Classification and the LOTTO Most Active Female Rider Classification.

The final stage ran from Janowiec to Lublin, with the LOTTO Special Stage in Puławy, won by Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek), earning a three-second bonus – which, however, didn't threaten Wiebes's position as leader. Bodine Vollering (VolkerWessels Cycling Team) and Marta Pavesi (Top Girls Fassa Bortolo) then attacked, with Sofia Ungerova (MAT ATOM Deweloper Wrocław) and Romina Constantini (Aromitalia Vaiano) in pursuit. Ungerova chased the front group alone after losing Constantini, but thanks to the work of Team SD Worx-Protime, including Marta Lach, the breakaway was closed down about 5 km from the finish. In the final sprint in the center of Lublin, Wiebes again emerged victorious, overtaking Balsamo and Lara Gillespie (UAE Team ADQ). Wiebes also won the team classification with her team.

In her post-race comments, Wiebes praised the organization and teamwork, Marta Lach emphasized the enthusiasm of the Polish fans, and Balsamo and Gillespie (2nd and 3rd overall, respectively) praised the level of competition and the organization of the event. The best Polish competitor was Olga Wankiewicz (MAT ATOM Deweloper Wrocław), who finished 9th overall, with a best stage result of 5th.
The race's general director, Czesław Lang, summed up the edition positively, praising the participation of 8 UCI Women's WorldTour teams, the strong lineups and the turnout of fans, comparing the atmosphere to the men's Tour de Pologne.

The next event is the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, which will depart from Gdynia on August 3rd and last seven days, ending at the Wieliczka Salt Mine. It will be preceded by a team presentation aboard the ORP Błyskawica. Broadcasts will be provided by Telewizja Polska, Eurosport, and the HBO Max platform, reaching viewers in 65 countries.
