DREAM HOME GYM – LUXURY INSPIRATION

DREAM HOME GYM – LUXURY INSPIRATION

February 8, 2022

We live in a fast-paced world. Our days are filled with business meetings, conferences, lectures, important projects – everything is rushed, constantly under stress. It's no wonder, then, that we're increasingly eager to find those five minutes for ourselves. The best way to relieve stress and also improve our fitness is to visit the gym regularly. But what if we're forced to stay home again, or if our work schedules don't allow for regular exercise? It's high time to design a home gym.

A home gym in a luxurious setting

Not sure where to begin with your home gym project? Let our experts design the perfect space for strength training, fitness, or meditation combined with yoga. Who says a recreation area has to be boring?

The gym doesn't have to be a place you ignore when showing guests around your property. Your own space dedicated to physical activity can be just as elegant and aesthetically pleasing, and in fact, it should delight at least as much as the rest of your home. It's important to pay attention not only to the equipment and furnishings themselves, but also to the interior design, which requires careful planning. A luxurious home gym is more than just equipment or a meditation mat. Stepping into this room, you enter a different world where you can forget about work and daily worries, even if only for an hour. You should feel at ease, surrounded by what you love most – the luxury you deserve. Every moment spent in your home gym should bring joy and soothe your nerves. Create a place you won't want to leave – with a sauna, swimming pool, or jacuzzi.

Luxury home gym equipment

A luxury gym requires professional equipment – if you want to break a sweat, you'll need the best equipment in its class. The type of equipment will depend on what you want to focus on during your workouts – general fitness, cardio, or more meditation-based exercises, which are primarily intended to relax the mind, then the body.

Where to place a gym? It's best to designate a separate room for workouts during the residence design phase. A fairly common solution is to locate exercise equipment in basements or ground floors if discretion is valued, or, as we recommend, in a room located "above ground floor," with ample glazing to admire the mountain/forest/coastal views.

What should a home gym include? The design of such a room should distinguish two zones – training and recovery. These zones can differ not only in equipment but also in layout. The color of the surroundings also influences our mood and determination to exercise. Classic, minimalist wood or a modern combination of architectural concrete and wood – in such conditions, we recover faster after a workout. Minimalism should be the priority: the less, the better. The same applies to equipment – to respect space, it's worth choosing multifunctional solutions rather than unnecessarily space-consuming devices dedicated solely to a specific activity.

A training area should be equipped with mirrors, allowing you to monitor your progress and make adjustments to your posture or steps. Luxury gym equipment should not only serve its purpose but also look beautiful and elegant in the room. Equipment crafted from a combination of steel and high-end wood, such as American walnut, is exceptionally crafted. In a luxury gym, you'll find dumbbells, for example, from well-known fashion designers, as well as a multifunctional weight bench – for lifting weights, performing crunches, and so on. Equally popular equipment is a professional treadmill or rowing machine paired with a large screen, which will help runners/rowers immerse themselves in their cardio training.

For competitive athletes who need a higher adrenaline rush, we recommend installing a climbing wall or a boxing ring. The wall can be placed practically anywhere in the room – at various heights and for varying skill levels. The ring, on the other hand, allows you to release negative emotions after a hard day – with a trainer or a punching bag.

A relaxation area is a place designed for quiet relaxation and recharging. This could be a Finnish sauna, Turkish sauna, or jacuzzi. A swimming pool is also a great idea, preferably equipped with water jets and counter-current systems. The pool can be partially covered (e.g., in the basement or under the residence's roof) or extend beyond the building's outline. The pool can also be located on a high floor with a glass floor and, for example, a lounge under the glass pool floor. It's worth ensuring adequate soundproofing of the walls to prevent outside distractions during relaxing meditation. Of course, a locker room and a shower or bathtub are also a must.

Exclusive and functional home gyms

The above suggestions will undoubtedly meet the expectations of even the most demanding individuals. The highest quality workmanship, advanced technology, elegant design, and practicality of these pieces of equipment will make you never want to go to a traditional gym again. A home relaxation area will help you stay fit and give you something no other gym can offer – peace and quiet, in an elegant setting and with the style you love. You can exercise in the comfort of your home, at any time, without pressure or prying eyes.
