Once you've sampled all the flavors of the local cuisine, you might long for a culinary change, and then a trip to Italy, for example, will be a welcome relief.
Yes, teleportation to Italy is now possible, and not just in terms of gastronomy. On the Costa del Sol, you'll find an authentic taste of traditional Italian cuisine, twice over. With two locations in the heart of Malaga, Calle Keromnes 4 in Malaga and Pje. Alcalde Valderrama 6 in Benalmádena, La Pala D'Oro is a restaurant philosophy based on Italian haute cuisine, thanks to the expert hands of its chefs. Anyone who experiences this unique culinary experience will want to repeat it again and again.
The romantic décor and attention to detail create a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a getaway with a partner, a gathering with friends or family, and enjoying high-quality cuisine. This isn't just another Italian restaurant where pizza and pasta dominate the culinary offerings. Without departing from these types of dishes, the restaurant's creators go further, exploring other, lesser-known recipes typical of Italian cuisine. Their commitment is based on authenticity, ingredients, and tradition, occasionally refreshing the menu to adapt their culinary offerings to seasonal produce.
But it's not just their exquisite dishes that transport you to Italy; their wines are also sure to delight. They offer a wide selection of their own Italian wines (Astoriavinos.es), including several awarded the best Prosecco in Italy. Produced on their own estate in Refrontolo (Italy), the heart of the CONEGLIANO – VALDOBBIADENE DOCG area, these wines allow us to discover a taste of Italy like nowhere else in Spain, exploring the tones, aromas, and flavors that characterize it, and discovering why Italian wine is so renowned.
Love Story
The history of La Pala D'Oro is closely linked to that of its owner, Sandro Spoladore. A businessman from northern Italy, he found love in the eyes of a Spanish woman and decided to come to southern Spain to live with her and make it his home. He quickly fell in love with the country, its cuisine, climate, the character of the people, and their customs. He quickly felt at home in Spain.
Yet he felt something was still missing, he felt somehow incomplete. His longing for his native Italy sparked an idea that gradually took shape: to bring a piece of his beloved Italy to the Costa del Sol. And how could he bring Italy to the Costa del Sol? Through the second love of his life, gastronomy. It's the best way to experience his own country, recalling it at every lunch and dinner.
So Sandro began to realize his dream and thus La Pala D'Oro was born, a restaurant thanks to which he could share with everyone a piece of his soul, a work of art he is proud of.
