Al Sud Restaurant – a true taste of Portugal at Palmares Ocean Living & Golf

Michelin-starred restaurant Al Sud revealed its new menu on March 20, 2023, consisting of 10 “moments” capturing the flavors of the Algarve.

Few luxury resorts combine architecture, landscape, and gastronomy with such spectacular flair as the stunning Palmares Ocean Living & Golf in the Algarve. The resort's clubhouse, owned by Kronos Homes, received a National Real Estate Award, and its Al Sud restaurant just celebrated the renewal of its coveted Michelin star. Now, Al Sud has revealed a new menu for the 2023 summer season, focusing on the authentic flavors of the Algarve.

Executive Chef Louis Anjos worked with Chef Ricardo Luz for many months to create dishes that pay homage to local flavors.

Chef Anjos comments:

"This new menu is a gastronomic journey. It reflects the tireless search for the best the Algarve has to offer, combined with the elegance and creativity that characterizes every aspect of Al Sud and Palmares Ocean Living. Each dish has been meticulously considered to deliver an unforgettable sensory experience."

The new menu consists of ten "moments," with dishes like tuna with oysters from the Alvor Estuary, which you can enjoy while sitting on the Al Sud terrace. Other highlights include Oscietra caviar with cucumber, duck with foie gras, orange, and Carolina rice from Vale do Sado, Portugal, and a dessert that brings out the flavors of Algarve almonds with muscat and rosemary.
Al Sud's gastronomic journey is an adventure into the refined Portuguese specialties of meat, fish, seafood and vegetables, taking traditional flavors to new heights.

Al Sud seats 24 people. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Saturday until April 4, after which it will be open Tuesday through Saturday.

In addition to fine dining at Al Sud, Palmares Ocean Living offers luxury properties for sale. These include apartments priced from €600,000 and ocean-view plots available from €1.25 million.
