Symphony of Black and White: Maciej Zień's Jubilee at the National Opera

On a December night, at the invitation of Maciej Zień, we attended a wonderful event that will remain in our memories for a long time.
Magic spread throughout the halls of the Grand Theatre – National Opera, where Maciej Zień celebrated 25 years of his work. The "Black and White Symphony" was not just a fashion parade, but an artistic spectacle in which every element – from the set design to the music – created an unforgettable symphony of elegance.
Maciej Zień, known for his classic aesthetic combined with a light approach to fashion, presented a collection that embodies his design philosophy. Over a thousand guests had the pleasure of attending this unique event, becoming a part of Polish fashion history. The runway creations, dominated by black and white, proved that classic styles can be dynamic and multifaceted. The only pop of color in this monochromatic palette was a red creation, symbolizing a desire for play and experimentation.
Maciej Zień emphasized that fashion should be entertainment and a way to express one's personality. This approach is evident in every stitch and line of his creations, which not only reflect the wearer's personality but also harmonize with it, like the notes in a well-composed piece of music.
The show was also a star-studded spectacle – well-known figures from Polish cinema and television appeared on the runway and in the audience, wearing Zień's creations, adding even more glamour to the event. Katarzyna Sokołowska was responsible for direction and choreography, and Agnieszka Ścibor was responsible for styling.
Collaborations with renowned brands such as Savicki, known for its selection of precious stones and diamonds, and the Tubądzin Group, combining elegance with the pursuit of perfection, only further enhanced the luxurious nature of the collection. The wedding dress, which crowned the show, was a true work of art, accentuated by exquisite jewels.
"Black and White Symphony" also engages with modern technologies – a collaboration with Motorola allowed for the creation of a set design as striking as the show itself. Brands like Perwoll, emphasizing the concept of sustainable fashion, herald the future of design.
The exceptional quality culminated in perfectly coordinated makeup and hair, thanks to the specialists from AA Wings of Color and SYOSS, whose work allowed the models to shine on the runway. All this was done amidst Jacquelin Sobiszewski's set design, Grzegorz Dorochowicz's animations, and Tomasz Butowt's music, creating an atmosphere that transported guests to a completely different dimension.
Thanks to the support of such a team – both in front of and behind the scenes – the "Black and White Symphony" was not just a fashion show, but a true celebration of beauty and creative passion. This event not only reflects 25 years of Maciej Zień's work but also opens a new chapter in his career, in which fashion becomes a symphony – sometimes romantic, other times fierce, but always unforgettable.
