U-BOAT strengthens its diving watch collection with three extraordinary Sommerso creations, featuring a stepped bezel, a two-tone dial, numerals and indices coated with white superluminova, and water resistance to a depth of 300 meters.
Born from Italo Fontana's passion for diving, the Sommerso embodies the entire U-BOAT DNA, with all the mandatory technical requirements for a professional diving watch, combined with a style that makes it perfect for any occasion.
The new 46mm Sommerso watches, presented at Watches & Wonders, feature a satin-finished stainless steel case (AISI 316L) in three dial versions, in original colors, and are characterized by the indispensable unidirectional rotating bezel with ceramic insert, an essential element of a professional diving watch for calculating the remaining dive time.
The dials feature a dominant color on the upper section that transitions to a deep black on the lower section, with two shades of color, also reproduced in the corresponding rings, available in the following combinations: burgundy, dark green, and blue, all transitioning to black. The two-tone rotating bezels adopt the same color combinations as the dials, with the exception of the burgundy model, which has an all-black bezel.
These color variants harmonize under an anti-reflective sapphire crystal with a 24-hour display, a date window with a small magnifying lens on the crystal for easy reading in all lighting conditions, luminous white indexes and numerals for night visibility, and hands embellished with small red details.
On the left side of the case, the iconic crown guard allows for free wrist movement, secured by a protective hook. A plaque engraved with the serial number is located on the side, and the case back is sealed with seven screws, ensuring water resistance of over 300 meters. Inside, a Swiss precision movement is powered by the automatic Sellita SW200 caliber.
Aesthetic and technical aspects, elegance and sportiness, are perfectly combined in these three Sommerso watches, available with a steel bracelet or a vulcanized rubber strap. The U-BOAT identity is not just for diving enthusiasts.
