Maison d'Art Gallery presents: Anna Bocek

Her work has been exhibited in cities such as Paris, London, Miami, Chicago, Amsterdam, and Taipei. Among the first to recognize her uniqueness was Galeries Bartoux – one of the most prestigious art galleries in the world. Today, Anna Bocek's works are included in private collections on several continents, and curators in Europe and the Americas have been following her projects for years. Poland is just getting started.

Rhapsody I, 120 x 120 cm

Bocek studied painting and scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. This duality continues to define her: she thinks in image and space simultaneously. The human figure remains at the center of her paintings—not as a portrait, but as a symbol. The human figure becomes a vehicle for tension and transformation, a figure so universal that every viewer can find a part of themselves in it. "For me, color is more than a means of expression—it's a language I use to convey what words can't capture," says the artist.

Women occupy a special place in her work: beautiful, conscious, and proud. Fragile at first glance, yet concealing an intense strength beneath the surface. Bocek works exclusively in oil: the slow drying of the paint allows for the construction of a multi-layered structure in which reds, carmine, cobalt, and turquoise—combined with black and off-white—become almost tangible.

    Eve's Garden

The artist creates in series – each one a distinct chapter, but together they form a coherent narrative about humanity and its inner self. In her latest series, "Eve's Garden," the garden becomes a metaphor for a woman's inner world: her emotions, strength, and fragility. Here, nature and the body intertwine into one organic whole.

    Scarlet Serenity, 120 x 140 cm

Later this year, Anna Bocek will exhibit her work for the first time in Poland, in Warsaw. June will bring her debut on the local art market. For those who follow the collecting world from afar, this is a moment not to be missed.
